Pages R147–R156: Alfadda A, DosSantos RA, Stepanyan Z, Marrif H, and Silva JE: "Mice with deletion of the mitochondrial glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase gene exhibit a thrifty phenotype: effect of gender" (http://ajpregu.physiology.org/cgi/content/full/287/1/R147). In Table 1 on page R149, some of the values for lactate and pyruvate concentrations in liver and skeletal muscle were incorrectly calculated. However, the error does not alter the conclusions regarding the effect of the genotype either on the changes in the tissue concentration of these metabolites or on the lactate-to-pyruvate ratios. The correct version of Table 1 is shown below, with corrected values in boldface.
