Corrigendum

Volume 291, September 2006

Wechselberger M, Wright CL, Bishop GA, and Boulant JA. Ionic channels and conductance-based models for hypothalamic neuronal thermosensitivity. Am J Physiol Regul Integr Comp Physiol 291: R518–R529. First published May 11, 2006; doi: 10.1152/ajpregu.00039.2006; http://ajpregu.physiology.org/cgi/content/full/291/3/R518.

On page R520, the equation describing Kirchhoff's law was incorrect. It should be

Formula

Also, on page R521, the parameter values of the model neuron should read

Formula

;

Formula

; and

Formula

.

The following revised Fig. 10 reflects the corrected values.

On page R526: 1) The first sentence should be "If the expression of TASK-1 leak channels is further increased to gtask = 1.6 nS, then the neuron becomes much less sensitive to temperature, and the thermal coefficient approaches +0.2 AP/s per °C"; and 2) the last line should read "gtask > 3 nS".
