  • Results are means ± SE for 4 animals. An intragastric cannula was implanted into rat pups in the artificially reared (AR) groups at 12 days old, and the rat pups were given milk formula with (insulin +) or without (insulin −) 20 ng/ml rat insulin until 17 days of age. MR, mother reared.
